Family vs singles sections
Family section

How to read
- Menu prices are VAT-inclusive — the 15% is already baked in.
- Tip is not added or expected. Some modern restaurants show a tip line on the receipt (optional).
- No alcohol anywhere. Coffee shops serve mocktails but no alcohol.
- Hotels with licensed restaurants may serve alcohol to non-Muslims in designated areas (rare, e.g., Four Seasons Riyadh).
Limitations
• Hotel restaurants in diplomatic compounds may have a different liquor license; this tool assumes public restaurants.
• Some luxury chains (e.g., hotel-branded fine dining) include a 10% service charge in addition to VAT.
• Saudi customs: many restaurants offer separate cash and card lanes.
